RSS feeds will alert you when we have added a new press release to our website. You will get all the latest headlines in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the site itself.
If you are using Internet Explorer 7, Firefox or Safari it’s easy - just click on the link below and then select “Subscribe to this feed”.
If not, you will need to download an RSS reader. This is a piece of software that checks our press releases and lets you view any that have been recently added. There are many different readers, some of which are browser based and some of which are downloadable. The browser based ones allow you to access your news feeds from any computer with a browser and downloadable ones allow you to read your press releases offline on your own computer.
There are a wide range of different news readers available and new versions are appearing all the time. A full list of readers can be accessed through the BBC website along with much more information on RSS feeds and readers. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/help/rss/3223484.stm
It is possible to create your own feeds, by using the Standard Life Investments search engine. The first step is to choose a search term, and type it into the search engine as normal. If any search terms match news stories for that site a link will appear to your customized RSS feed. Review the new results, and if they accurately reflect the topic you have chosen you can now use the orange feeds button to add the selection to your news reader, or to your website.
